Itโ€™s possible to go head-to-toe IKEA in your kitchen, sourcing everything from sinks to cabinet handles to appliances and more. But you donโ€™t have to. Many of the designers and renovators featured here cherry-picked their IKEA kitchen supplies, combining them with custom joinery or stone bench tops.

So here are 7 scroll-stopping, real-life IKEA-heavy kitchens that donโ€™t scrimp on style.

1. Itโ€™s easy being green

This modern take on a country kitchen combines earthy-green IKEA joinery with timber TUBA handles and Caesarstone bench tops in โ€˜Clamshellโ€™. For a similar kettle, go to Smeg Australia.

2. Small and mighty and midcentury

The owner of this Parisian apartment envisaged a kitchen in natural walnut that would open to her living room, transforming the 52-square-metre space into a cocoon for her family. The pedestals, drawers and hardware are from IKEA. Here, modern furnitureโ€™s been expertly mixed with antiques such as the Tulip table designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll, which separates the kitchen and living room and is used as a second work surface every day.

3. All the alpine feels

This IKEA-strong kitchen features VOXTORP โ€“ a smooth, matte door with integrated finger-pull handles. The bench top is EKBACKEN Dark Oakโฃ; the kitchen mixer is a Tร„MNAREN Sensor Tapโฃ; and the oven is an ANRร„TTA. โฃAltogether itโ€™s white and light and with that raked ceiling, reminiscent of a ski chalet.

4. Corner office

When you canโ€™t decide between a dark, minimalist/white or boho timber kitchen, just do all of it, as per @my_hygge_my_homeโ€™s cosy kitchen. Pulling the look together is the cult rice-paper Formakami JH4 pendant light by &tradition.

5. Paint it black

The owner of this minimalist Scandi kitchen says theyโ€™ve renovated with IKEAโ€™S KUNGSBACKA black-ish (โ€˜anthraciteโ€™) cabinetry twice, and would do it again. Bonus: KUNGSBACKA kitchen fronts are made from recycled materials, so theyโ€™re good for the planet, as well.

6. Farmhouse charm

Different textures โ€“ such as the whitewashed bricks โ€“ give this monochrome Shaker-style kitchen depth and drama. The IKEA joinery complements the rustic character of this 100-year-old home beautifully.

7. Parisian perfection

IKEA provided the carcass for this kitchen joinery, while the tinted-oak facades were made to measure by another supplier. The owners of the heritage apartment in Paris wanted โ€˜holiday at homeโ€™ vibes โ€“ definitely embodied by the bird-like pendants flying above the island bench.
